Computers Plus, Inc. was incorporated on December 10, 1980. The formation was spurred by a need for computers and software programs for school systems around the country. Soon after, Computers Plus created PRINCIPAL, an administrative software package that allowed school system administrators to create and track: Student Databases, Discipline Reports, Attendance Records, Student Progress, and The Hot Lunch Program. PRINCIPAL was written in conjunction with Epson QX-10 Computers. Later, a student scheduling program was added.

Once the computer industry gained its footing in the mid-1980's, Computers Plus, Inc. became a reseller of Apple products. With a strong background in the K-12 education market, Computers Plus began installing computer labs with Apple II and Apple II c systems as well as Epson Computer systems.

When the Windows era came on strong in the early to mid-1990's, Computers Plus, Inc. started custom building desktop computers. This allowed the consumer to conduct more powerful computing tasks. Early adopters of CAD/CAM and PC Gaming were delighted that they didn't have to continue using "off the shelf" systems.

In the late 1990's and early 2000's , the internet was just starting to become a large part of everyone's daily work routine. Computers Plus, Inc. started installing and maintaining modern small business networks. However, with all of the benefits of the internet, with it, came viruses and malware. In-store, On-Site and Remote software repair services became a cornerstone of Computers Plus, Inc.'s service offering. 

Today, Computers Plus, Inc. still provides Small Business Network support and software support, the computer industry has changed. As an Apple Authorized Service Provider, Computers Plus, Inc. now services the full line of Apple products. We also offer product repair services to large deployments in Government, K-12, and Higher Education.
